    image (52)

  • Default item is imperial units

  • Default unit system for new projects is defined by an according account setting (see above). If the account setting was not touched, default will be imperial units.

Unit Systems Throughout the Document

Scales:

Scale in imperial units:

Scale in metric units:

  • Scales dropdown in metric system looks the same but with metric notation 1 : N:

image (60)

  • Scales between two systems correspond to each other but not exactly. Here’s the chart of accordance:

    Imperial Imperial to Metric exact Metric closest
    3''=1' 1:4 1:5
    3/2''=1' 1:8 1:10
    1''=1' 1:12 1:10
    3/4''=1' 1:16 1:15
    3/5''=1' 1:20 1:15
    1/2''=1' 1:24 1:25
    3/8''=1' 1:32 1:25
    3/10''=1' 1:40 1:50
    1/4''=1' 1:48 1:50
    3/16''=1' 1:64 1:75
    1/8''=1' 1:96 1:100
    3/32''=1' 1:128 1:125
    1/16''=1' 1:192 1:200
    3/64''=1' 1:256 1:200
    1/32''=1' 1:384 1:400
    1/64''=1' 1:768 1:750
  • For example, we have 3/2’’=1’-0’’ before the setting switch. After switch, it will become 1:75, however, the exact value is 1:64. So, all measurement values will become 17% greater on change than they were in imperial units. To preserve the values, need to set a custom scale 1:64:

    image (61)

  • Assigned custom scales won’t be changed on the setting change, e. g. ‘1 in = 14 ft’ will become 1:14. However, this is wrong (should be 1:168) and will be fixed in the following updates:

Left Panel:

  • Items in the Left Panel show measurement values for group and object items, all according to the type: Walls and Linear Measurements here show length, Rooms and other Areas show areas of polygons

  • On the setting switch, measurement values will recalculate from meters or square meters to the feet or square feet and backwards according to the changed scale
