How to Get a New or Existing User Set Up with Destini Estimator?

Here are the steps that users can follow to get fully set up with Estimator. These are general articles and the server information for the license and SQL Server will need to come from your I.T Department. 

Here are the steps to get fully set up. 

1. The first step is to download and install the application, if you don't have the version of the application you can request that by email support@beck-technology.com and we will send the Guide and then you will follow the instructions in this article - how to install Estimator.

2. The next step after the application is installed is to connect to the license server; as mentioned, it should be provided by IT - connecting to the license server.

3.  OPTIONAL- If you would like to set up the training databases that information can be found here - Estimator Training setup

4. The final step after that is to create the Cost and Estimates profiles for each database on the centralized SQL server (name provided by IT).

VERY IMPORTANT – All users will need to get added to the Active Directory that is mapped to the databases before they have access to the databases. This is done by the Company IT department.

If you are using Azure SQL, you can contact support@beck-technology.com or use this article to create the profiles Normally, there might be copies sent at one point or you can get them from a co-worker - creating Azure database profiles.
