How to Merge Estimates
There are two methods for merging estimates: utilizing the Export/Import to Excel feature or manually copying and pasting data between the two estimates. It is important to note that each option has its own set of limitations.
When using the Import/Export options workflow:
a. Assemblies are not imported, resulting in only the line items being transferred.
b. This method transfers Rates and Resources associated with the line items, as well as fees and takeoff data.
That workflow is documented in the article and shown in the video below - Importing a spreadsheet
Alternatively, if you choose to Copy and Paste between two estimates:
a. This option is suitable when there are no Resources or Assemblies, and you solely need the line item data.
b. However, it is worth mentioning that this workflow does not include the transfer of fees or takeoff data.
