Imperial and Metric Features Overview

International users will receive drawings from architects in the metric system of measure.  We need to provide the ability for users to easily takeoff in the system of measure that drawings are provided in.
The scale dropdown will now always show all standard metric and imperial units of measure.  Custom and drawn scales will still show up in the format of [x]" = [y]' or [x]mm = [y]mm.  Which format the scale appears in will depend on the unit used when entering the scale.  In the case of custom scales, the unit of the first measurement will determine the format.  Both metric and imperial custom scales can show up in the dropdown.
In the palette item editor (and creator) appropriate metric and imperial units will appear for all properties in the unit of measure dropdown.  A new checkbox will be provided in the takeoff palette that allows users to specify that they want newly created palette items to default to the metric unit of measure.  Checking or unchecking this checkbox will not affect existing palette items.  While not a common workflow, it is supported for palette items to have properties that are a mix of imperial and metric units.
In the takeoff window, the grid that is used to map properties will no longer have a drop-down in the unit of measure column.  This column will now contain read-only fields that always show the unit of measure selected for the item in the takeoff palette.
