Error Selecting Cost Components in the Estimate

There was an error adding the selected line item to the estimate

WBS Properties Formatting Mismatch

The above error is caused by having two WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) Properties with the same name but in different formats. This issue typically arises when there is inconsistency in naming conventions, which can lead to confusion and errors.

For example, you may encounter two properties labeled as "Masterformat" and "MasterFormat." Although they appear similar at first glance, the difference in capitalization alters their recognition within the system, resulting in conflicts and errors.

To resolve this issue, it is essential to ensure uniformity in naming conventions across all WBS Properties. By standardizing the names, you will prevent potential errors. To assist you further, we have provided a video tutorial below that will guide you through the steps necessary to identify and rectify these naming discrepancies effectively.

You can simply update the WBS Property name coming from the database (gray cylinder) to match the name used in your estimate, and then click OK.

Changing Labor Unit per Manhour

This error will also occur when you try to change the labor unit while the Quantity field is blank. This is an order-of-operations issue: you must enter a value in the Quantity field before you can update the Labor Unit per Manhour column.
