      An Overview of Bid Day User Roles and Permissions

       

      There are two levels of permissions -- system-wide and project-specific. Users will need to be either a project admin or contributor on the bid project itself to be able to work within the Bid Project.

      System-Wide

      Project Specific Role

      Admin

      • Initial setup of the system includes one main admin for the site.
      • Can modify system settings.
      • Can give permission to other people.
      • Can be delegated.

      Project Admin

      • Can create and delete projects.
      • Can add members of their team.
      • Cannot give someone admin rights.
      • Can make changes on the Bid Summary page to numbers (unless the bid is
        locked).
        • Bid Day will create an auto note of this change.
        • Can enable and disable alternates to see how it impacts the bid.

      Contributor

      • Can access and edit Projects.
      • Can be assigned a Bid Package to work on.

      Users who have access to Bid Day will have read-only access at a minimum to all
      projects within the system.
