Accessing Estimator Hosted via a Web Browser

Log in without having to install the Remote Desktop application

It is possible to log into the Hosted version of Estimator via your web browser. Please note that this is not the best way to access Estimator due some technical limitations (see below), but it is a good temporary solution in situations such as when logging in on someone else's PC, or if you're not able to install Remote Desktop.

Accessing Estimator Hosted via a Web Browser

Logging into Estimator via a web browser is easy, and can be done in two easy steps:

  1. In your web browser, go to the following page: https://rdweb.wvd.microsoft.com/arm/webclient
  2. When prompted, sign in with your Beck email (not your company email).

This will show Estimator as a launchable app, and you can launch it in the same way you would with the Remote Desktop app.

If you need more help with Estimator setup, please see the guide to setting up Estimator on the Hosted Environment.

Limitations

There are two limitations to consider when accessing Estimator via a web browser:

  • There is no ability to upload files to the Hosted share drive in Estimator - you will need to use the File Explorer app for this.
  • You will not be able to rip away components of Estimator to separate windows. You will only be able to operate in a single window.
