How to Update Decimal Precision in Estimator

Estimators routinely need to work with data beyond two decimal places.  DESTINI Estimator is already built to utilize this under the hood but, by default, Estimator only presents two decimal places.

However, Estimator's Decimal Precision setting allows you to expose greater decimal accuracy (up to five decimals) for those users who need to be able to see the exact numbers being calculated on.

NOTE: The Decimal Precision setting only affects the number of decimals exposed in the user interface (UI) in Estimator. It does not affect or change the accuracy of the calculations.

Decimal precision can be configured for:
  • Quantity
  • Unit Costs
  • Total Costs
  • Fees

To configure Decimal Precision, go to the Home View and click on the Preferences button in the main ribbon:
