How to Change the Included Scope of Work in a DESTINI Cloud: Estimator report

DESTINI Cloud: Estimator reports include built-in support for the base estimate and alternate estimates with different statuses, such as Accepted, Pending, and Rejected. By default, when you run a report, it includes only the base estimate and alternates with an Accepted status. Using the Parameters panel, you can adjust the scope of your report by adding or removing alternates with different statuses like Pending.

This article explains how to change the scope of included estimates when you run a report. It also explains how to update the default values displayed in the Included Scope field.

Change the Scope of Included Estimates When You Run a Report

  1. Open an estimate in DESTINI Cloud: Estimator.
  2. Navigate to Home > Reports, and then click a report. The report viewer opens.
  3. In the Parameters pane, locate the Scope section.
  4. Click the Included Scope parameter, and then click a status. If you don't see a status you want to include, you can add it using the next procedure in this article.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Submit.

When you run the report, DESTINI Cloud: Estimator prints the base estimate and alternates with the selected statuses.

Update the Default Values Displayed in the Included Scope Field

Use the following procedure to change which estimate statuses are listed by default in the Included Scope parameter. 

  1. Open an estimate in DESTINI Cloud: Estimator.
  2. Navigate to Home > New Report. Report Designer opens.
  3. Click File > Open.
  4. Navigate to the folder with the report template file (.repx) you want to modify.
  5. Click the file .repx file to open it.
  6. Locate the Report Explorer pane on the right side of your screen.
  7. Click the Field List tab at the bottom of Report Explorer.
  8. Scroll to the bottom of the Field List tab and locate Parameters.
  9. Expand Parameters and click IncludedScope. The Properties panel below Field List displays the IncludedScope parameter properties. 
  10. Click the Value field and type a status you want to add, for example Pending. Separate status values using a comma and no space.
  11. Press Enter on your keyboard.
  12. Save and run your report in DESTINI Cloud: Estimator.

Repeat this procedure with other reports for which you want to change the IncludedScope parameter.
