DESTINI Takeoff Version 1.4 Release Notes

DESTINI Takeoff 1.4 focuses on improving embedded takeoff usability and mapping workflows, with clearer drawing set uploads, better navigation in the left panel, and fixes for key mapping/conditions issues. New user controls, enhancing overlay and mapping experiences, and addressing a key tagging UI defect. Conditions and mapping workflows, with stronger edit/undo behavior, more reliable quantity sync, and UI alignment to DESTINI Cloud styling.

New features & Enhancements

  • TK-642: Patterns for Area Conditions
    Added a Patterns property for Area-type conditions (5 patterns available).
  • TK-793: Mapping Mode: Show AI Takeoff Items Previously Mapped
    Previously mapped AI takeoff items are now visible when re-entering mapping mode, improving continuity across mapping sessions.
  • TK-656: User settings for crosshair mode
    Added user settings for crosshair mode to support different user preferences and workflows.
  • TK-703: WBS properties for Condition Takeoff Items (using default set)
    Introduced WBS properties support for Condition Takeoff Items when using the default set, improving data structure and downstream reporting consistency.
  • TK-750: Add and Remove points from drawn Conditions
    Added richer editing for drawn Conditions, enabling point-level adjustments after creating an area condition.
  • TK-853: Map AI Pattern Areas into Conditions
    Expanded mapping support to include AI Pattern Areas (not just AI Rooms) when mapping AI takeoff items into Conditions.
  • TK-854: Rename Drawing Sets
    Enabled renaming Drawing Sets from the Drawing Sets screen.

Improvements to Existing Features

Left panel/navigation improvements

    • TK-659: Move Project Library out of stacked div in Left Panel
      Moved Project Library into its own tab to reduce clutter and improve workflow when adding conditions to pages/zones.
    • TK-729: Make Mapping Mode window bigger / smaller font... too much scrolling
      Made mapping mode easier to work in by resizing the mapping window and reducing font size to cut down scrolling.
    • TK-707: Overlays: Combined view
      Enhanced the Overlays experience with a combined view, making it easier to compare/consume overlay information in a single view.
    • TK-819: Mapping Panel Updates
      Improved the Mapping panel with usability upgrades (Apply/Cancel actions, load from library, search, and a clearer tree UI).
    • TK-807: Keep drawing takeoff zone lines while panning
      Improved Takeoff zone drawing behavior so users can pan mid-draw without losing already drawn polygon lines (until exiting Add mode).
    • TK-809: customer feedback: Add a scroll to the Change Group list
      Improved Change Group usability by adding scrolling and keeping Create new group always visible in the dropdown.
    • TK-824: Rebrand: Change color scheme
      Rebranded UI color scheme to align with DESTINI Cloud design guidelines.
    • TK-855: Constant width of crosshair
      Improved usability/consistency of crosshair rendering so the crosshair stays a constant width across zoom levels.
    • TK-769: Keep track on Condition after Condition is changed
      Continued improvements to how Conditions are tracked/maintained after edits/changes, to avoid breaking downstream updates.
    • Drawing Sets – Bulk Modify Disciplines in Split Review
      Users can now update disciplines for multiple pages at once during Split Review, eliminating the need to modify each page individually.

Document & set handling

  • TK-794: Open Previous Current Set Versions in the Viewer
    Open older “Current Set” versions directly in the viewer (as regular documents), with clearer browser-tab naming.
  • TK-795: Separate upload revision and upload drawing set
    Split Upload Drawings into New Set vs New Revision flows to reduce confusion and prevent selecting invalid targets.

Admin permissions

TK-804: Make Company Admins able to edit Projects sets; Tenant Admins to edit Global sets
Company Admins can edit Project sets; Tenant Admins can edit Global sets (Global remains hidden for non-admins).

Bug Fixes

  • TK-799: Can't scroll down the Project tab in Conditions
    Fixed inability to scroll down the Project tab in Conditions.
  • TK-802: Can't save mapping since blocked by icons - badge too wide
    Resolved mapping save blockage caused by UI/badge width overlaying icons.
  • TK-803: AI mapping to Conditions issues
    Addressed AI mapping issues when switching conditions mid-session (selection/indicator behavior).
  • TK-808: Can't change the color of a tag
    Fixed an issue where users couldn’t change a tag’s color in the tag edit flow.
  • TK-810: Creating a rectangle area condition leads to 500 error
    Fixed server error when creating a rectangle area condition (500 error).
  • TK-822: Mapping Mode rotates and translates AI takeoff when mapping to conditions
    Fixed an issue where mapping mode could rotate/translate AI takeoff unexpectedly when mapping items to conditions (especially on rotated drawings).
  • TK-825: Can't Undo Change Condition
    Addressed gaps in undo behavior related to condition changes (making “Change Condition” undoable).
  • TK-828: Condition Quantity is not updated on Condition edit
    Fixed condition quantity update/sync problems after editing a Condition (previously could leave estimator quantities stale).
  • TK-856: Copy Condition loaded from Library: Delete, rename failed
    Fixed copy-from-library condition management issues (rename/delete failures; improved expected naming behavior).
  • TK-655: AI Takeoff, Setup: Undo/Redo Inconsistent
    Improved Undo/Redo consistency for AI Takeoff and setup workflows (including multi-copy and group-related scenarios).
  • TK-777: Conditions: Undo in Draw Area removes previous shape, should undo last joint Implementation
    Investigating/fixing a Conditions undo defect in Draw Area where Undo removes a previous completed shape instead of the last joint in the current shape.
