DESTINI Takeoff 1.7 delivers meaningful advances in workflow organization, system performance, and platform stability. The headline addition is WBS Property Grouping, giving estimators a structured, multi-level hierarchy view of conditions directly in the left panel — a long-requested capability that improves how teams organize and navigate complex takeoff sets.

Key Highlights and New Features

  • WBS Property Grouping (Phase 1): Users can now define multi-level WBS property hierarchy groupings (e.g., System → Floor → Alternate Name) in the left panel across Page and Document tabs. Default groupings based on condition volume can be customized or expanded, with expandable view controls to optimize workspace area. (TK-830)

  • Company Library Default and Lazy Loading: Reordered library loading to prioritize the Company Library (the primary user workflow) and implemented lazy-loading for project condition sets in the "Load from Library" picker, significantly improving initial load times. (TK-1009)

  • Calibration and OCR Improvements: Enhanced OCR page title detection during the Adjust Calibration workflow even when explicit title boxes are designated. (TK-936)

Performance and System Enhancements

  • Large Drawing Set Upload Support: Expanded document processing capacity to handle large PDF drawing sets (1.5 GB – 2 GB) through upload and split review without hitting memory or timeout thresholds. (TK-892)

  • Rectangle Backout Support: Added direct rectangle drawing capability for backouts alongside existing polygon shapes. (TK-1071)

Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements

Takeoff and Condition Management

  • Can't add a new category from dropdown in condition manager: Resolved issue where adding a new category from the Condition Manager dropdown would fail. (TK-990)

  • Conditions with same quantities show UOMs from earliest quantity and not from set UOM: Fixed unit-of-measure (UOM) selection when conditions share identical quantity values. (TK-1087)

  • Resizing or moving Takeoff Item with same quantities but different UOMs changes only first quantity: Fixed resizing/moving behavior for takeoff items sharing identical quantities with different UOMs. (TK-1088)

  • Select category in Conditions Manager Create\Edit Condition Dialog scroll tree to top and expand all nodes: Prevented automatic tree scrolling/expansion upon selecting a category in Condition Manager dialogs. (TK-1092)

  • Calculation wrong for loaded Conditions after change: Fixed quantity calculation discrepancies on loaded conditions after modifications. (TK-1264)

  • Company admins can't update Conditions in Manager: Resolved permission restriction preventing Company Admins from updating conditions in Condition Manager. (TK-1329)

Page Locking and Viewer Controls

  • Some actions are available in page locked mode: Restricted edit, delete, and context menu actions while operating in Page Locked mode. (TK-1103)

  • After page lock is off, takeoff is out of date: Resolved stale takeoff data displays occurring after toggling off Page Lock. (TK-1187)

  • Conditions added during the lock don't show after unlock: Ensured conditions created during Page Lock remain visible after unlocking the page. (TK-1261)

AI Takeoff and UI Interactions

  • Filter is not switched when scrolling to another page with AI Takeoff: Fixed AI Takeoff page filters when navigating across multi-page sets. (TK-1095)

  • Delete processed AI Takeoff zone throws error (SaveChanges 500): Fixed 500 server error when deleting processed AI Takeoff zones. (TK-1106)

  • Can't select a curved linear item after conversion and deselection: Fixed curved linear item selection issue following conversion and deselection. (TK-1108)
