DESTINI Estimator Version 1.6.2 Release Notes

DESTINI Estimator 1.6.2 resolves estimate grid display and layout auto-collapse issues, corrects assembly Choice criteria evaluation, prevents unhandled concurrency exceptions during multi-user editing, and improves startup authentication and crash telemetry.

Bug Fixes

  • User Preferences Loading: Fixed an issue where user preferences failed to load from AppData after logging into Estimator (DC-1567).
  • Multi-User Collaboration Stability: Resolved an unhandled concurrency exception ("Collection was modified") that could crash Estimator during live updates in multi-user collaborative estimates (DC-7305).
  • Filter Node Group Expansion: Fixed a bug where estimate grid groups remained collapsed instead of auto-expanding when a filter node was selected (DC-7758).
  • Saved Layout Grid Behavior: Resolved an issue where switching between saved grid layouts caused the estimate grid to automatically collapse (DC-7963).
  • Assembly Choice Criteria Evaluation: Corrected an issue where assembly Choice line items with "Any" criteria were added before the Choice's "Ask When" condition was met (DC-8880).
  • Startup Authentication Flow: Eliminated an unnecessary login prompt and redundant authentication failures on application startup when opening with an expired access token within the 14-day refresh window (DC-9065).
  • Conditions Window Refresh: Resolved an issue where the Conditions window failed to update properly (DC-9082).

Improvements & Technical Debt

  • Native Crash Telemetry: Configured startup logging to capture native Estimator crashes from the Windows Application event log into Application Insights following the WebView2 migration (DC-9031).
  • Takeoff Token Expiration Handling: Added token detection and refresh logic in DESTINI Cloud to prevent unauthorized request errors when takeoff tokens expire (DC-9035).
  • Event Processor Observability: Implemented telemetry metrics shipping from the event processor to Application Insights (DC-9069).
