DESTINI Cloud Estimator Version 1.5.0 Release Notes
DESTINI Cloud Estimator version 1.5 delivers a key new takeoff feature, significant enhancements to fees, major improvement to processing and reliability.
Key Features and Workflow Enhancements
-
Sketch Item: Draw takeoff from the estimate: You can now sketch conditions for a line item straight from the estimate and keep drawing in the embedded DESTINI Takeoff without leaving your workflow. Sketch Item also works on assembly groupings. (DC-5649)
-
New fee cost basis: Total Excluding Self: Fees have a new Total Excluding Self cost basis. It calculates a fee against the estimate total without including that fee's own cost. (DC-5587)
-
Fee Categories: You can assign a category to each fee, so fees are classified the same way across estimates no matter what they're named. Categories show up in reporting, which helps with historical cost analysis. (DC-2660)
Improvements
-
Faster editing in large estimates: Editing quantities in estimates with deep groupings, overlines at every level and distributed fees no longer causes a delay of several seconds. Line item grouping has also been sped up. (DC-5946)
-
Faster syncing: Background processing of estimate changes is quicker and more reliable, so changes appear more consistently. (DC-7269)
-
More reliable estimate search: Broad searches that return many results no longer get blocked when estimate thumbnails load. (DC-5887)
Bug fixes
Estimate Grid and Cost Information View (CIV)
-
Estimate Grid grouping now updates when you change the values used for grouping in the CIV. (DC-3821)
-
True/False WBS properties respond correctly after you change a value in the Estimate Grid. (DC-4837)
-
Remove Cost is now available on Assembly group rows. (DC-6777)
-
Grouped rows stay expanded or collapsed after you add or remove costs. (DC-6779)
-
The CIV now fills in when you select an unmapped line item together with another line item. (DC-6933)
-
Variables for ad hoc assembly items now show in the CIV when the assembly is selected. (DC-7375)
-
Formula buttons are disabled in closed estimate versions, so costs can't be changed there. (DC-7289)
-
Moving costs from Base Estimate to an Alternate on a versioned estimate now keeps the change. (DC-7828)
-
Cleaned up warnings in the per-line-item breakdown. (DC-7139)
DESTINI Takeoff integration
-
Mapped values now update when you draw more takeoff on a condition that has two quantities mapped to separate variables. (DC-6201)
-
When you copy and paste a condition-mapped assembly, the copy is no longer linked to the condition. (DC-7015)
-
Fixed the "Is Mapped" indicator, which wasn't working. (DC-7263)
-
Renaming a Takeoff-enabled WBS property no longer removes it from Takeoff. Renamed WBS property values now carry over to Takeoff. (DC-7281)
-
Takeoff connections now work for users in different time zones. (DC-7242)
Fees
The Fee Editor no longer shows inflated totals after you restructure a versioned fee table. (DC-6339)
Stability and data integrity
-
Estimator no longer crashes when you select an assembly with a choice that has more than 3,000 line items using a Data Manager connection. (DC-6871)
-
Fixed an issue where line items could be lost, or couldn't be deleted, after you closed and reopened an estimate. (DC-7147)
