How Self Perform in DESTINI Cloud Differs from the Legacy Version

This article describes the evolution of Self Perform as DESTINI Estimator transitions from the Legacy application to DESTINI Cloud. Self Perform has been rearchitected around a centralized Cost Library, a crew-based estimating model, and built-in regional pricing.

For self-performing contractors, the most significant change is that Self Perform data is now managed in Cost Library rather than Data Manager. Estimate costs are driven by reusable crews and productivity rates, with a single productivity value assigned to each line item, instead of resource groups configured across individual cost categories. This approach establishes a centralized system of record, promotes consistency across estimates, and streamlines maintenance by automatically applying updates wherever shared cost data is used.

Self Perform workflows have also been simplified to improve estimating speed, accuracy, and collaboration across teams.

Some Self Perform capabilities are being released in phases as the DESTINI Cloud continues to evolve. Where functionality is still in development or does not yet provide full feature parity with the Legacy application, those differences are clearly identified so your team can plan and execute the transition with confidence.

What’s New in Estimator Cloud for Self Perform

Self Perform estimating in DESTINI Clouds is anchored by the new Cost Library and a crew-based model. The changes below represent the foundation on which everything else is built.

Planned for a Later Release

Several Self Perform areas are being delivered after the initial Cost Library release. Until they are complete, these are the areas not yet fully equivalent to Legacy, and teams that rely on them should plan the transition accordingly.
