Access to Hosted for Post-Migration Project Validation

Customers are encouraged to review migrated projects for accuracy. Beck Tech will provide read-only access to legacy data for validation and collaborating on solutions if errors are found. This article explains the details.

Migration Process and Project Validation

As part of each customer's migration process, Beck Technology (“Beck Tech”) will convert the customer’s estimating data from the legacy DESTINI Estimator to DESTINI Cloud. Beck Tech will make every reasonable effort to ensure the conversion goes smoothly. However, because the legacy system and DESTINI Cloud are built on significantly different data structures, some data may not be transferred perfectly.

An important part of the migration period is reviewing past projects to make sure the data looks correct and consistent. If the customer notices after migration that an older project did not migrate correctly, Beck Tech will work closely with the customer to understand what went wrong and determine a reasonable solution. To support this review, Beck Tech may provide limited, read‑only access to the hosted legacy environment so the customer can compare and validate project data.

If Beck Tech and the customer confirm that a migration error occurred for one or more specific projects, Beck Tech can rerun the migration for those projects. The customer will need to provide the names of the projects to be re‑migrated. Re-migration will replace the previously migrated versions of those projects in DESTINI Cloud with newly migrated versions from the legacy system.

For the first 90 days after the customer migration Beck Tech will need approximately 72 hours to set up and grant access to the Hosted DESTINI Estimator environment to view legacy data. After 90 days Beck Tech will move the customer's legacy data to permanent storage. Restoring the customer's legacy data and granting the customer access will take a 5-business-day lead time.
